The decision to start therapy can be a life-changing one that can bring awareness, peace and positive change. I applaud you for taking this step! I specialize in working with women who are seeking support through any combination of life's challenges. I hold a certification in perinatal mental health and have spent the last decade of my career working with mothers at all phases. I also hold space for women not in the maternal role, but who are looking for guidance in other areas such as work stress, family conflict, personal fulfillment and managing symptoms related to anxiety and depression.

Is therapy right for me?

I often tell clients that therapy is like a gift to yourself. It is a space for you to feel safe, free and accepted as you are. The right therapist for you will offer a connection and a sense of direction for the goals you are working towards.

Where would we meet?

At this time, I am only offering virtual sessions. As I am licensed in the state of Virginia, I am able to see clients anywhere in the state. Licensure laws mandate that clients be physically in Virginia during our session. This would mean that if you are living outside of Virginia or are traveling, we would not be able to meet, despite our session being virtual.

Are you the therapist for me?

Just as we test drive cars to see if it's the right fit, 'trying on' therapists can be a similar process. My style tends to be relaxed, warm, and interactive. I believe in tapping into the personal power YOU bring to the session and helping you find alignment with the life you want and the life you are living.

Do you take insurance?

I am currently paneled with Optima, Anthem, United, Cigna and Aetna. I also offer a self pay option of $100 per session. It may be helpful for you to contact your insurance to establish what your out of pocket expense would be for psychotherapy.

I utilize Headway as a billing company for clients using Anthem, Cigna, Aetna and United insurance. Please click on the Headway button on the menu to learn about how to schedule with me. For clients using the self pay option or Optima insurance, please contact me through this site, and I will help you through the steps to get scheduled.
